Elon Musk is the chief executive officer of both Tesla and SpaceX, making him one of the most inventive business leaders in the world.
He has been featured in many issues of Forbes magazine. This guy is believed to be the most important person in the world, and his net worth is estimated to be 184.9 billion USD! Additionally, they refer to him as the “Technoking of Tesla”
Elon Musk’s Routine
Musk typically gets the amount of rest that his body requires, which is six hours every night. If it were any lower, he said that it may cause him to get irritable. He doesn’t get up very early, which comes as a bit of a surprise. Because his rigorous schedule only allows him to get to bed at about one in the morning, he often sets his alarm for seven in the morning.
You might think that now that the millionaire has woken up, he will enjoy his wealth by having a cup of coffee or working out in the morning. However, this is not the case. When Elon Musk wakes up, the first thing he does is immediately start going through important emails. We do not know the content of these emails, but we speculate that they may include time-sensitive announcements or updates on crucial business meetings, both of which Elon Musk loves to respond to within the first half an hour of waking up.
After attending to his email correspondence, Musk gets out of bed to take his routine shower. Musk favors hot showers over cold ones, despite the fact that many other billionaires find that taking cold showers boosts their productivity. At work, he almost always wears a white button-up shirt, which is the attire that is most often seen on him there. Before leaving the house for school, Musk will also forego eating breakfast in order to check his email one more time.
Yes. You did hear what we said, correct? School. Musk is the father of five sons, all of whom are males. You probably wouldn’t expect a millionaire to drive their own children to school, but it’s rather cool that Elon Musk’s kids go to school on the same campus as their father’s firm, SpaceX. Musk started his own school, called Ad Astra School, in 2014. He did this because he thought that the current system of education in the United States was not good enough or effective enough.
There are just 30 pupils enrolled at the school, the vast majority of whom are children of SpaceX personnel. Each year, there are around one hundred students that apply, but only ten to twelve spots are available. These pupils are required to study a curriculum that is radically different from what is taught in typical schools. Math, ethics, the natural and applied sciences, and engineering make up the core curriculum. Additionally, the institution places a strong emphasis on artificial intelligence. Instead of writing by hand, the pupils use keyboards to type their work. It would seem that Musk is in the process of developing the perfect workforce for the next generation of SpaceX workers.
Elon Musk’s Work Life
After getting his children off to school, Musk gets down to business and starts working. It is common knowledge that he works very diligently. It is said that he put in an average of 120 hours of labor each week when he first started Tesla and SpaceX. This had a significant negative impact on his mental and physical health since there were occasions when he wouldn’t leave the factory for three or four days, and there were also moments when he was caught dozing on the factory floor to make up for missed sleep.
He was unable to spare any time for his loved ones, including his wife and children. After that, he cut his work week down to between 80 and 90 hours, which is still much longer than the typical work week of 40 hours that the majority of people adhere to. But Musk believes that this new transformation is sustainable, and as a result, he has been able to spend more time with his girlfriend Grimes, listen to historical audiobooks and podcasts, catch up on anime, and watch anime.
Musk schedules his day in five-minute intervals to better manage his time.
Musk claims that “many people would be surprised at how much they could achieve in such a small amount of time,”
obviously given that they are completely focused on what they have to get done in that amount of time. Although five minutes seems like a short amount of time to even think about where to get started, Musk states that “many people would be surprised at how much they could achieve in such a small amount of time.” In addition to this, Musk splits his week up between his two businesses. He is employed at SpaceX on Mondays and Fridays, and he is employed at Tesla on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Musk is the founder of several other businesses, including a company that builds tunnels known as “The Boring Company,” a company that develops neurotechnology known as “Neurallink,” and a nonprofit research company known as “OpenAI” that promotes friendly artificial intelligence; however, he either works for these businesses remotely or visits them as and when they require his presence.
Who knows what Elon Musk eats during lunch? After foregoing breakfast, you must be thinking that Elon Musk would probably treat himself to a lavish lunch of some kind. But his rule that a task must be done in less than 5 minutes also applies to eating. Within that time frame, Musk will devour everything he can get his hands on, regardless of its nutritional value.
The vast majority of his meals, which often consist of an omelet, a salad, or even a few pizza pieces, are delivered to him while he is in meetings. It would seem that Elon Musk does not take the time to savor his meals in the same way that other billionaires do and that eating is only a method for him to maintain his energy throughout the day.
Concerning meetings, it would seem that the majority of Musk’s day is spent doing routine check-ins with the many teams he manages. to the point that Musk has instituted stringent protocols for his meetings. Rule Number One: No huge gatherings. Musk believes that a meeting should never have more than four to six individuals present at any one time. Rule number two is that you should leave a meeting if you are not contributing anything of value to it.
Although it may seem harsh, Musk feels he is compassionate in this situation. He believes that leaving a meeting early is not impolite, but that it is unpleasant to force someone to remain and waste their time. Rule Number Three Declares That There Will Be No Frequent Meetings. Musk appreciates his time. He is of the opinion that there should only be high-priority meetings, which, once the issues have been resolved, do not need further discussion.
Aside from his job at Tesla and SpaceX, Musk spends a significant amount of time physically working on his ideas. Being the inventive person that he is, he does this in addition to his other responsibilities. He devotes most of his time each day to engineering and design work. Because of his conviction that “if it doesn’t better the product, then we shouldn’t be doing it,” he directs a greater portion of his resources into product development and refining.
In addition, Musk takes the time to go to the toilet at regular intervals, despite the fact that this does not seem to be a decision that one chooses. Musk says that “Nature’s calling is a terrific time to check some emails and gain a few minutes of solitude.” (Nature’s calling is a fantastic time to check some emails.)
This workaholic millionaire loves to continue working on a few projects when he gets home from work. While watching television, he does most of his workouts at the gym, which consists of lifting weights and jogging on treadmills. He also dabbles in Taekwondo, karate, judo, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. After that, he goes out to dinner and even brings a book with him to enjoy while he’s there.
Even when he is attempting to unwind and rest, Musk can’t help but respond to a few more emails and think about the many projects he is working on. On the other hand, the millionaire is able to entirely detach himself from his professional life on the weekends. Musk reserves his Saturdays for the activities that provide him the greatest pleasure, such as engaging in meaningful interaction with his sons. Musk sets aside the whole day on Sundays to unwind and give his mind a break.
He gets to bed at one in the morning in order to get his full night’s rest of six hours, and then he immediately jumps back into his frenetic regimen, which he has been adhering to for not just months, but years! Musk is now one of the wealthiest people in the world because of all of the hard work he has put in over the years.
As some background, when Musk was just ten years old, he was already a voracious reader. It was with the Commodore VIC-20 that he first became interested in the world of computers. He was able to teach himself computer programming, and by the time he was 12 years old, he had designed a video game called Blaster that was based on BASIC. He made a profit of around five hundred dollars from the sale of the code to PC World and Office Technology Magazine. There is a web-based version of the game that can be played online. Musk was an awkward and timid youngster who was tormented throughout his youth. At one point, a gang of guys even shoved him down a flight of stairs, and he ended up in the hospital as a result of the incident.
Before graduating from Pretoria Boys High School, Musk had his education at Waterkloof House Preparatory School as well as Bryanston High School. In addition, Musk spent five months as a student at the University of Pretoria before moving to Canada in 1989. After moving to Canada, Musk did a variety of occupations on a farm and in a timber factory until enrolling at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, in 1990. After another year had passed, he decided to transfer to the University of Pennsylvania, where he eventually earned a Bachelor of Science degree in economics as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in physics. Both degrees were conferred in 1997.
During the summer of 1994, Musk worked at two different internships in the Silicon Valley area. He worked for a company called Pinnacle Research Institute, which was a business that explored electrolytic ultracapacitors for energy storage. He also worked at a company called Rocket Science Games, which was a startup situated in Palo Alto.
Musk was accepted to a Ph.D. program in materials science at Stanford University in California the following year. But after only two days of classes, he decided to drop out and instead start an internet startup to take advantage of the boom in the internet industry. It was here that he launched the successful business career that has brought him to the position he has today!
